SPC Professors Granted Emeritus Status

St. Philip’s 大学 (SPC) professors Dr. Hayford Awuku和Dr. Roger Biduaka were granted emeritus status at the 阿拉莫大学 区 Board Meeting on Tuesday, 5月21日. Both faculty members have served St. Philip’s 大学 for 28 years in the Natural Sciences department.

Dr. Awuku earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, 加纳, 和Ph值.D. in Physics from Baylor University in Waco. He held weekly physics tutoring sessions to help students better understand the material covered in class and to prepare them for the MCAT and PCAT exams for entrance into medical and pharmacy schools. Dr. Awuku also served on several college and district committees. He retired on July 31, 2021.

Dr. Biduaka earned a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Lubumbashi, 扎伊尔, and a Master’s in Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He held weekly biology tutoring sessions at the Byrd Sanctuary (the Natural Sciences Tutoring Lab) and served on numerous college and district committees. He retired on December 31, 2021.

Their contributions to SPC and its students have left an indelible imprint on the culture of the college and a legacy for serving students.
